Our Beliefs

We believe the Bible is God’s word that speaks to us today. It tells us of His love for all and that because of Jesus we may know forgiveness and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

The name ‘Church of the Nazarene’ signifies that we wish to be known as a people who love and follow Jesus of Nazareth, and wish to live in accordance with His teaching.

Our Community

Our church is made up of ordinary people who have a heart to love one another and serve our community.

Sunday morning at 11:00am is the time when we meet to worship, hear God’s word and encourage each other in fellowship. Our time together is a relaxed blend of traditional and contemporary worship styles.

Our Vision

Is that together as a church we are seeking to be extravagant in our worship, open to the Holy Spirit's work in our lives and be supportive of each other and our community by the love of God.

We have a heart to serve our community and are engaged with other churches in Troon in the Micah Project, our own premises being used on a Wednesday morning. We lead services in nursing homes in Troon alongside ‘Troon Churches Together’, of which we are an active part.

History

In the latter part of the 1920’s a small group of people met at the home of a Mrs. Thompson in Gillies Street for prayer, bible study and fellowship, seeking a better understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit.

Troon Church of the Nazarene was founded at the end of February 1928. In the early years the church met in several different places in the centre of Troon.

The church moved into its current building in Union Street in 1948.

Today there are 90 Nazarene churches in the UK and we are part of a world wide movement of over 2.5 million members working in over 156 world areas.

What's On

Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 11.00 am. Refreshments are served after the service.

'Time with God' is our time of prayer on Wednesday Afternoons at 2.00 pm. The church building is well ventilated and hand sanitization and socially distanced seating is available. We look forward to welcoming you joining with us.
